Change Makers!

Promote inclusion and diversity within our school and the local community, as well as bring everybody together to make a change and come together to set aside our differences to break these biases and prejudices in our locality.

Our Social Issue

Exclusion of people based on their gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, race, religion, physical ability and so on, the lack of people educated on the above topics, biases and prejudices towards these groups, and the stigma towards these topics.

Why We Chose It

We are passionate about inclusion and we are anti discrimination!

Our Goal

We want the people in our school community to feel welcomed and know that they are safe here and that they can speak to anyone about any issues that they have or had dealt with. We want Sacred Heart Secondary school to the school that every one is talking about, about how they treat everybody equally

Our Innovative Action

We created awareness on social media/ around our school and our community We had a 'Jingle Mingle' at Christmas time to raise funds for our chosen charity We had a trade fair on January 24th with a stand and we spoke to the school and wider community about our idea and our need for change We spoke to the school principal about organising a multi-cultural fair We sent out surveys to the school community regarding inclusion

Our Impact

We have promoted difference and acceptance and we have raised awareness. We have brought our ideas to fruition!
