To raise awareness about the issue of Gender Inequality and make a difference. We would like to educate and inform specifically young people as we have direct access to students in our school, and we would like to advocate for policy changes in the workplace in order to encourage women to work in male dominated fields.
Our Social Issue
Gender Inequality
Why We Chose It
As women we believe it is extremely important to raise awareness about the gender inequality issue not only in Ireland but in the world. By addressing gender inequality, we hope to contribute to ongoing efforts to create a more inclusive and equal society, both now and in the future. We hope that by promoting gender equality today it can then have a positive impact on future generations. Empowering girls and women can break the cycle of poverty, improve child nutrition and education, and create a more equitable society for all.
Our Goal
Our goals are to contribute to ongoing efforts and to create a more inclusive and equal society in Ireland. We want to empower women and to encourage them to work in male dominated fields and to do what they love irrespective of their gender. As said before we want to fundraise for charities supporting women in Ireland as well as working with artists in Ireland to raise awareness about this issue in whatever their preferred form of art is, such as street art.
Our Innovative Action
We have been making lots of progress in raising awareness about the issue of gender inequality locally. We have taken initiative and created an Instagram account dedicated to providing information about this issue, as well as creating a survey on gender inequality in the workplace in order to understand the depth of this issue. We have created posters and put them up in our school to increase students and teachers awareness about this issue. We now plan on branching out and fundraising for charities who support women and collaborating with local artists as well as inviting guest speakers to our school.
Our Impact
We have made and will continue making a positive impact specifically in our school. We have been increasing the students and teachers awareness about this issue hence supporting the cause. We are making women who have experienced discrimination in their workplace feel seen and understood. We hope to support women all over Ireland suffering from inequality by fundraising for a variety of charities also.
