Our Social Issue

Lack of knowledge on biodiversity and plants, flowers, fruit and vegetables etc. in our local area.

Fresh Start

Why We Chose It

Our team chose this issue because we care about the environment and realized that a lot of young kids don’t really learn about biodiversity or why it matters. Nature is super important, but things like deforestation, pollution, and climate change are destroying ecosystems. If kids grow up without understanding this, they won’t know how to help. That’s why we want to teach them early so they can develop good habits that help the planet.

Our Goal

Our big idea is to encourage young children to adopt sustainable habits by making recycling, composting, and growing their own fruits, vegetables, and flowers a fun and engaging part of their daily lives. We aim to instil lifelong environmental responsibility by integrating these practices at home and in their local communities. Our goals are to reduce waste, promote greener spaces, and create a sense of pride in maintaining a cleaner, healthier planet. By fostering these habits early, we hope to inspire future generations to protect the environment and contribute to a more sustainable world.

Our Innovative Action

We have come up with fundraisers to get us money to be able to fudn the resources such as the plant pots, soil, etc. We came up with fundraisers to get us money to be able to fund the resources such as the plant pots, soil, etc. then we went to the schools and gave the children a presentation on everything and then let them do practical work with us. We organized fundraisers to raise money for essential resources such as plant pots, soil, seeds, and compost bins, ensuring we had the materials needed for hands-on activities.

Our Impact

We have positively impacted over 650 children in our local area by teaching them about sustainability, recycling, and growing their own fruits and vegetables. Through interactive presentations and hands-on activities, we inspired them to adopt eco-friendly habits and develop a passion for gardening. Many children expressed excitement about starting their own small gardens, helping to make their surroundings greener and more beautiful. By making sustainability fun and accessible, we not only educated them on reducing waste but also encouraged a new hobby that promotes healthier lifestyles and a deeper connection with nature, fostering a long-term commitment to environmental care.
