Our Social Issue
The idea that young people are always being labelled negatively and we would like to show case the amazing strengths of our young people in particular the students in our school and other people who have succeeded greatly as a young person
Why We Chose It
We chose these social issues, because they were what matched best with our slogan “Mol an Oige” and it helped us to achieve our best goals in the end
Our Goal
Our big idea, and what we hope to achieve, is to insure that our towns community feels as if we, as young people look after our town and elderlys, and we hope that we achieve a level of trust and praise in the community.
Our Innovative Action
We as a class went to to Cuan Chaitriona, we spent quality time with the elderly. Some of us played board games, while others played some traditional music .Both us and the elderly thoroughly enjoyed this afternoon together.Some precautions we had in place was to wear face masks to avoid spread of germs as some may be vulnerable. The residents of Cuan Chaitriona enjoyed getting to chat to us about themselves and their lives.
Our Impact
We have made a positive difference to our community whilst visiting Cuan Chaitriona by: Providing Companionship: Helping reduce loneliness among the residents. Raising Awareness: Highlighting the needs of elderly residents in our community. Enhancing Well-being: Uplifting their spirits through social interaction and music.. Encouraging Empathy: Promoting respect for older generations. Creating Bonds: Strengthening community connections and inspiring others to get involved.
