We would like to educate young people our age about the signs of damaging friendships and relationships and to recognise if you are in one. We hope that by doing this, it will help to have less young people in toxic relationships voluntarily and help them be more confident and self sufficient.

Our Social Issue

Educating young people on toxic friendships and relationships and how to spot if you are in one. We also want to help young people recognise the signs of a toxic relationship and how you can prevent being toxic to other people.

Let's Talk Toxic

Why We Chose It

Our team chose the social issue of toxic relationships and friendships because many people our age suffer from relationships (both platonic and romantic) like these. Many of us have seen the effects of these relationships on a person's mental and even physical health, and we want to help educate those around us so that they will never feel stuck in a toxic relationship.

Let's Talk Toxic

Our Goal

We want to educate young people about the impact that toxic friendships and relationships can have on them and their mental health. We want to teach young people to see the signs of toxic relationships so they can recognise them in their own lives as well as among others. We also want to teach people how to recognise and value the positive aspects of their friendships and relationships.

Let's Talk Toxic

Our Innovative Action

We decided to talk to both 1st, 2nd and 4th year classes about the signs of toxic relationships and friendships in hopes to educate them to know the signs in order to know when to leave a relationship or friendships.

Let's Talk Toxic

Our Impact

We have taught young people how to stand up for themselves against manipulative and toxic behaviours. Our goal is to prevent them from ever finding themselves stuck in toxic relationships or friendships.
