We are aware of the issue of food poverty and the impact that it has on people in our local community. We are producing a cookbook that will include healthy, affordable recipes.
Our Social Issue
Food Poverty.

Why We Chose It
We chose this social issue as food poverty is a major issue in Ireland today. Many people are going without food or eating unhealthy food as the cost of living has led to a rise in food prices. This has inspired us to create our cookbook.

Our Goal
Our idea is to lower the amount of people in Ireland who are struggling with food poverty. We are lowering the number of people who have food poverty by creating cookbooks which have affordable and healthy meals. We are going to sell these in local shops and donate any profits to St. Vincent de Paul to be used as food vouchers,

Our Innovative Action
We have begun to research and develop recipes for our cookbook. We are going to release this book on 31st March in local shops. We are going to be giving the profits to St Vincent de Paul to help overcome food poverty in our local area.

Our Impact
We have made a positive difference by empowering people to cook healthy and affordable meals. We have raised awareness of the issue of food poverty in Ireland and encouraged people to be more mindful of this issue.
