We hope to create an environment that encourages people to be more open about their mental health. We would like to encourage people to speak out when they are experiencing any mental health difficulties and to seek help from others. We would also like to encourage people to be aware of the people in their lives who can help them when they are going through a difficult time.
Our Social Issue
Our group has chosen to address the issue of mental health in people of all ages.

Why We Chose It
We have witnessed people close to us struggle with mental health difficulties and we wanted to be a part of the solution, not the problem. Many people today face issues such as depression, anxiety and loneliness and we wanted to help people reach out and know that they are not alone.

Our Goal
We chose to do our YSI project on mental health as we feel that many people have issues that they feel they cannot talk about. We want to encourage people to speak out about their feelings and emotions and know how to look for help if they need it.

Our Innovative Action
We have taken action to educate young people about their mental health and to encourage them to seek help when they need it. We have spread awareness about mental health and the things that can be done to promote positive mental health. We are going to be working to let people know about the work that Jigsaw do to help positive mental health in young people.

Our Impact
We feel we have made a positive difference by teaching young people how to identify their feelings, how to reach out when they know they are not feeling their best and to know that help is there if they need it. We also hope that we can make a positive difference to the primary school students we talk to about mental health and to help them be more informed about the topic.
