Empowerment through Action!

Join us for a transformative workshop designed to ignite passion and leadership among young people around the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This engaging programme aims to elevate awareness and foster leadership within school communities, encouraging students to become proactive SDG champions. Through interactive sessions and hands-on activities, participants will design and implement an SDG Champion Action Plan, guiding their peers in impactful efforts to address and promote the Goals.

Throughout the workshop, participants will:

• Identify the SDGs: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
• Become an Advocate: Equip yourself with the knowledge and skills to champion the SDGs effectively.
• Lead Change: Take charge of initiatives that align with your values and make a tangible difference in your school and beyond.
• Collaborate and Inspire: Work with peers to develop creative solutions and inspire collective action towards the SDGs.

For educators

By the end of this workshop educators will be able to:

• Describe the overall purpose of the Sustainable Development Goals.
• Understand how citizens can contribute to making these a reality.
• Identify the SDG goals and at least three major themes therein.
• Identify at least three social justice issues that they care about at a local and global level and how there relate to the SDGs.
• Facilitate a team of young people to understand the SDGs using a range of innovative tools and methodologies.
• Facilitate young people to champion SDG awareness and action within the school community.
• Develop leadership capacity around promotion of the SDGs within their school.
