Teacher Training
This programme is accompanied by teacher training to support the implementation of YSI Design for Change in your school. Participating schools will be invited to register up to five teachers to a training workshop which provides all of the information necessary to support children through the programme using the resources provided. On completion of the training, teachers will receive access to the full suite of online resources for use in the classroom. All workshops are delivered by members of YSI's Learning and Practice Team.
Facilitating YSI Design For Change Workshop
This workshop provides primary level educators with the information and tools they need to guide a team of children through YSI's Design for Change Programme. Participants learn about YSI’s Model of Social Innovation Learning as well as the international FIDS Framework developed by Design for Change and used by its partner organisations around the world to engage children in action-based innovation projects for social change. Participants will explore the resources made available by YSI to support the implementation of this programme and will feel confident using a range of innovative tools, techniques and learning methodologies to support young people to complete a project on an issue they care about.
