Our project is about male breast cancer. In our project we discuss how male breast cancer is one of the less known forms of cancer. In today’s society young people like us as well as the older generation are not educated about male breast cancer. That is why we have chosen to raise awareness about this particular issue. We believe that this specific type of cancer is not spoken about enough.
Our goal is simply to make people aware of the existence of this cancer. Many people feel that this cancer is limited to women but the mortality rate is much higher among men as they do not know what to look for. We want to spread the word and also hope to reduce the stigma about the illness. Many men might feel that this a 'woman' disease and feel less inclined to get a lump checked out by a medical professional as a result.
