Eleanor would like to help other students who might be struggling with school work at the moment. She feels very fortunate to have resources and time available to her to get her work done well, and could extend a hand to someone who is not finding it so easy. She does not want other students to feel they cannot get help if they need it at this time.

Her idea is to set up a group chat where students can contact her for help with their work, to have something proofed or simply to have a chat in the group, if they need someone to talk to. It would be a safe space for support with both school work and life in general.

Eleanor’s idea was drawn from personal experience of knowing a person her own age, who was struggling with the amount of school work they were being assigned. This person was her friend and she was able to help them when they reached out, and this made her think of all the people who maybe don’t have someone who they can contact, or feel that they cannot ask for help without being judged.

The aim of her idea is to alleviate the stress that students are under, by providing a safe environment where students can receive help like they would have in school. Students would also be able to get their work done more quickly with support, leaving them time to do other activities, for example running, pilates, walking the dog etc.

Eleanor has put her idea into action by helping her friend and also her sister, and seeing how much it benefited them by having someone to work through their issues with.
