Stephanie, 13, Louth
Stephanie had noticed that it was becoming difficult for people in her locality to keep up a good exercise routine with current restrictions in place. She wanted to come up with an idea for the #YSIOpenCall, that would not only get people moving, but that would give something back to her community and also raise some money for frontline workers.
Rallying her family together as a team, she presented them with her idea - to cut the grass in their estate and use the activity as a fundraiser for the HSE. This would bring her family together for an activity, which she knew would benefit everyone both physically and mentally.

By spreading the word about what they were doing, she hoped it would encourage people to get outside into the fresh air, but stay safely in their own area.
Her plan worked. Everyone in her area is now aware of her campaign and Stephanie and her family have raised over €1,000 so far!
